Today is one of those days where I have to remind myself that this is real life. Capturing love stories is my favorite, but being able to share them with the world makes it even sweeter. Abe and Jane's wedding was incredibly simple, yet one of the most meaningful days I have experienced. What Jane said about their day sums it up perfectly:
Ultimately, I think the lack of a lot things is what really reflected us as a couple. No officiant, place settings, announced dances, cake, bridal party... While there were definitely a lot of traditional elements to our wedding we tried to let go of the things that didn't feel true to us as a couple as best we could. Having such incredible, giving people in our lives just served as a reminder of the love we are surrounded by and how much it has strengthened our relationship and brought us to this point.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know how much I adore Cottage Hill. Their magazine is my favorite wedding publication and something I will continue to look through for inspiration. If you haven't gotten your copy yet, please do! Their heart for meaningful celebrations speaks straight to my core, and is the perfect representation of who I strive to be as an artist. I hope that the images I capture will grace the walls of homes for generations and be the beginning of a beautiful legacy.
A huge thank you to Cottage Hill for the lovely feature and to Jane and Abe for inviting me to capture your story.
