This wedding was near and dear to my heart. I photographed Vanessa's sister's wedding last summer, so I felt like I was part of the family when I showed up for Vanessa's beautiful day. Ethan and Vanessa love the mountains, so it seemed appropriate for them to say "I do" in one of their favorite locations. I was blown away by the number of friends and family that made the trip from Pennsylvania to be here for this special day. These two are surrounded by an incredible support system and so much love. Vanessa and Ethan, I can't thank you enough for inviting me to be a part of your perfect celebration!
I first met Samantha on a study abroad trip to Italy, but she grew up down the street from my husband. When her and Matthew asked if I would travel to Chicago to photograph their big day, I was honored. It was especially fun seeing my cute husband and baby at the wedding! Samantha and Matthew had the perfect wedding, surrounded by close friends and family, with lots of special touches. Samantha wore her mom's wedding dress, helped her mom bake the wedding cake, and wore her great-grandmother's wedding ring set. Each element of the day was unique to this sweet couple. After their first look, we stopped by some of their favorite Chicago spots for photos. It was so fun exploring the city and seeing Samantha and Matthew's love. Congratulations on a beautiful marriage!
The first time I met Sara, we chatted over coffee about travel and babies. I left feeling like we had been longtime friends. And her wedding day was no different. These high school sweethearts immediately made me feel like a special part of their wedding day, and it was so much fun to capture their love. This day was extra special, because Laura and Ethan got married on my wedding anniversary. When we first met, they told me how close they were to their families, and how much they were looking forward to celebrating with those they love most. From Laura's first look with her dad, to the ceremony officiated by her brother, it was obvious that these two are surrounded by incredible people. A surprise Chinese lantern release was the perfect ending to this beautiful day. Laura and Ethan, thank you so much for trusting me with your best day. I cannot wait to share an anniversary with you for years to come!

I've been dying to share this engagement session for a long time. Hiking with my husband is my absolute favorite, so when Laura and Josh told me about their love for the mountains, I knew we would be instant friends. These two are getting married in Cincinnati in the fall, but they wanted to capture their love in Mount Rainier National Park. It has always been a dream of mine to photograph a session in a National Park, so I was 100% on board when Laura and Josh asked if I would join them. I'm thinking we need to return every year for their anniversary? Yes, please!
How did the two of you meet? Josh and I first met in March 2012 in a running meetup group at Lunken airport when I moved to Cincinnati. We ran together a few times , but both got busy and lost contact for a few months. That fall I was thinking about trying crossfit and decided to text Josh and see if he had ever taken a class. We've talked every day since and he is my favorite workout buddy.
Tell me about the proposal! It was a nice spring day and Josh asked if I wanted to go for a walk. We took a walk around the neighborhood and decided to walk up our neighbors hill to see the sunset over the Cincinnati skyline, and Josh asked me to marry him!
What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? Of course I can't wait to marry my favorite workout buddy and travel partner. I'm also looking forward to having fun with all of our family and friends, and I'm excited for all of my out of town family to see Cincinnati.
