Irons Mill Farmstead Wedding | Ethan + Laura

This day was extra special, because Laura and Ethan got married on my wedding anniversary. When we first met, they told me how close they were to their families, and how much they were looking forward to celebrating with those they love most. From Laura's first look with her dad, to the ceremony officiated by her brother, it was obvious that these two are surrounded by incredible people. A surprise Chinese lantern release was the perfect ending to this beautiful day. Laura and Ethan, thank you so much for trusting me with your best day. I cannot wait to share an anniversary with you for years to come!

Mount Rainier Engagement | Laura + Josh

I've been dying to share this engagement session for a long time. Hiking with my husband is my absolute favorite, so when Laura and Josh told me about their love for the mountains, I knew we would be instant friends. These two are getting married in Cincinnati in the fall, but they wanted to capture their love in Mount Rainier National Park. It has always been a dream of mine to photograph a session in a National Park, so I was 100% on board when Laura and Josh asked if I would join them. I'm thinking we need to return every year for their anniversary? Yes, please!

How did the two of you meet? Josh and I first met in March 2012 in a running meetup group at Lunken airport when I moved to Cincinnati. We ran together a few times , but both got busy and lost contact for a few months. That fall I was thinking about trying crossfit and decided to text Josh and see if he had ever taken a class. We've talked every day since and he is my favorite workout buddy.

Tell me about the proposal! It was a nice spring day and Josh asked if I wanted to go for a walk. We took a walk around the neighborhood and decided to walk up our neighbors hill to see the sunset over the Cincinnati skyline, and Josh asked me to marry him!

What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? Of course I can't wait to marry my favorite workout buddy and travel partner. I'm also looking forward to having fun with all of our family and friends, and I'm excited for all of my out of town family to see Cincinnati.

Churchview Farm Wedding | George + Brittney

This day is what my wedding dreams are made of. From the quirky hotel where the bride got ready, to the gorgeous florals with that perfect handpicked quality. But what made this day truly magical was the atmosphere. Brittney and George chose to share their wedding with their closest friends and family, surrounded by good music and great food. I cannot think of a more perfect way to begin a marriage.

On Our Wedding Day

Today is the day you promise forever to your best friend. I know you feel like no day could ever be as wonderful as this one, but today is just a small glimpse of the love that you will share. Not every day will be rainbows and sunshine. In fact, you will have really hard days, months, even years, when it feels like you might never be truly happy again. But the good days will far outweigh the bad. God could not have found a more perfect man to pick you back up when life knocks you down. To hold you when the tears fall. And to celebrate with you during the good times. You’re about to hike through beautiful mountains in Europe, and you have so many more adventures in store. You will go through graduate school together, live in that tiny apartment, move to a new city, visit new countries, buy your first house, and create the most perfect baby. But it’s the everyday moments that will make your relationship stronger. You will order for each other at restaurants, enjoy slow mornings making breakfast, dance in the kitchen, train for races, and fall asleep beside each other each night. Todd is more than your better half; he’s your everything. Soak up your wedding day, because before you know it, that day will be a distant memory. But don’t let that get you down. The best is yet to come.

Schenley Park Engagement | Sara + Dillon

Is there anything cuter than high school sweethearts? Sara and Dillon have the cutest love story, the best style, and I loved photographing their engagement session. Stay tuned for their gorgeous September wedding...I can't wait!

How did the two of you meet? We met in middle school and started dating in high school. I would stalk his locker after lunch. I was 15 and he was 16. We've never broken up. Or first date was in August 2007 seeing The Simpsons Movie but it wasn't until after our Snowball dance in January 2008 that Dillon finally had the courage to ask me to "go out" with him. We did long distance for 3 years. Until I graduated and moved to the D.C. Area where he had been for a year.

Tell me about the proposal! We were on vacation in Ocean Isle, NC with both of our parents and Dillon's sister. We went to the beach to "take family photos" and when I saw a large box poking out of Dillon's pocket and everyone getting their phones out I knew it was happening. I also walked in on Dillon asking my dad for permission. Then I was so nauseous so I just looked out to the ocean so that Dillon could get ready and everyone could deal with their cameras. Then My mom missed it all because she was fiddling with my dad's phone.

What are you most looking forward to on your wedding day? Seeing all my family together. Hopefully it's like a big family reunion. I love that love can bring all these people together.

Any other info you would like to share about your love story? We just balance each other out. A relationship is not always easy but after growing up together we went through so many changes and challenges that strengthened our relationship. We can't wait to finally be officially married after being together for ten years.
